You Only Have Yourself

People will always find a way to make you doubt yourself but it’s up to you to decide if you want to believe them. Let them think they’re more important. Let them judge you all they want Because what they are doing is only fueling you to become everything you’re supposed to be.

1.You Only Have Yourself.

Your friends and loved ones will be there for you when you need them but they won’t be able to understand everything that goes on in your life. They won’t be able to understand the thoughts that haunt you at night. They won’t be able to ease your pain because they don’t know how deep it is or how much it hurts. So let them say you’re not good enough. Let them say You’re too much or too little. Let them call you stubborn and difficult. Let them say you’ll never make it. Let them think they’re better than you.

2.You Can Only Trust Yourself.

Because people change, their priorities change, their feelings change and their love changes. you’re the only one truly capable of saving yourself, you’re the only one truly capable of breaking away from everything that’s pulling you backward.

3.You Have To Be Yourself.

So believe in it. Believe in your heart. Believe in your mind. Believe that you don’t need anyone to complete You and You don’t need anyone to help you live the life you want.

4.People Are Doing You A Favor.

Because they’re showing you who you don’t want to be around, who you shouldn’t trust and who only likes you when you’re quiet because they can’t handle your voice. they can’t handle you.

5.So Let Them Say Whatever.

They want because eventually you’ll stop listening and They’ll be nothing but background noise.

Eventually, you’ll find your peace away from those who love disturbing you. You’ll find yourself away from those trying to tell who you should be or what kind of life you should live.

  1. Totally with everything that you have written here. I have placed my trust in people way too often, only to be disappointed in the end. Luckily there also some exceptions to this rule as well. But in the end the person you can trust the most is yourself. Great post ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Youโ€™re right, raistlin0903 โ€” itโ€™s a matter of balance. Alice, this is very wise, however โ€” because who better than ourselves to have our best interests in mind?

      1. I’m feeling very bad about your loss.
I hope someday you will meet someone who can give you all those happiness which you deserve.

  2. The relationships with others isn’t all positive or all negative. But we are on our own path, that’s true. We’re supposed to build ourselves, grow spiritually.
We always have ourselves and our relationship with the universe. People may come and go, and it’s a part of our growth. Sometimes we need to push on, and sometimes we need to let go of unhealthy attachments.
Good times, bad times; loves and inevitable losses. The life, overallโ€ฆ it’s still all valuable.

  3. You have this fact of life nailed. Following the loss of my wife, in 2011, I was excoriated by one of the very people on whom I counted most. He eventually felt ashamed of himself, and came back into my circle of support. People do and say what they think is the best for us, including “tough love”, which is seldom love at all. i am in a good place now, because I depend mostly on myself.

  4. I have a different view. We as a person has so many layers of emotions & intelligence heavily jumbled that many times it takes control of us and makes us do weird things. Though we have crossed the boundaries of survival struggle but some how fights within us getting worse. Look around us, world has became such a complicated place to live. We love apple but want to go with android, we are educated but like guns, we have tons of communications but don’t want to talk, we have all bright lights but don’t want to look around, we have so much food to eat but we don’t have anything to share.
We definitely need a new GOD, new rays of light, new hopes. All other has been outdated and torn out.

  5. Self worth is important and should never be based on what others think of us. I know we are never truly alone in our walk in life. We always have a loving Father in Heaven, and His Son, Jesus Christ. Before we came to earth, we lived with them. We are all children of God and He wants us to return home to Him. We can help each other even if our trials are different. We’re all here on earth together for a purpose. ๐Ÿ’

  6. I think anyone who has had their trust shattered and betrayed will agree 100% with your post. I know I do, and although it is not always popular to say it out loud, I am a firm believer that emotional walls can be your best friend. It is possible to protect yourself and have deep, meaningful relationships. It is just safer to do so when you have your own back. Thanks for this post!
